Gasten zijn o.a.
On the ninth evening we will discuss food security in the international system of tomorrow. Who will feed China and India? Will there be enough food and will it be distributed properly? Is the market the best approach to secure food now and for future generations? To what extent should governments regulate the food sector or consumption patterns? Will we get more or less agricultural subsidies?
Wilbur Perlot will discuss these questions with international panellists Flavio Valente, Paul Richards.
Economist Michiel Keyzer from the VU will discuss his point of view on partitioning of food. Baharam Sadeghi will be searching for an answer to whether people are willing to eat less meat. The outcome will be presented during the evening in a short video. Senate member for the party for animals rights (PvdD) Niko Koffeman will explain how changing consumption patterns could help in resolving the world food crisis.
