Brazilian Literature by A Hora do Brasil Foundation

A Brazilian icon, renowned for her unique writing style, her great personal beauty and her eccentric personality, Clarice Lispector is one of the most outstanding Brazilian prose writers of the 20th century. The A Hora do Brasil Foundation takes the opportunity of the publication of Clarice's new biography WHY THIS WORLD written by Benjamin Moser to bring this great writer to the spotlight, introducing her work to the Dutch audience and giving new input for those who already know her novels.

The event also offers a premiere of the new film IN FULL ALL about Clarice, a mix of documentary and fiction, directed by her niece Nicole Algranti. It presents Clarice's interviews with Brazilian personalities such as Oscar Niemeyer, Nelson Rodrigues, Jorge Amado, Ferreira Gullar and Ruben Fonseca, among others, and it is acted by Araci Balabanian, Letícia Spiller, Betty Goulart, Silvia Buarque, Louise Cardoso and other Brazilian actresses, as a multifaceted Clarice Lispector.
